What Is the SAT Test?
The SAT is an exam that universities use to assess a student's college readiness. Originally called the "Scholastic Aptitude Test," the SAT is made by a company called The College Board. The SAT is a college admissions test that helps predict a student's performance in their first year of college.
When Is the SAT?
The SAT is offered seven times a year: in March, May, June, August, October, November, and December. For international students, it's offered four times a year: in March, May, October, and December.
How Is the SAT Scored?
The SAT is scored on a scale of 400-1600. You'll have one score for Math (200-800 scale) and one score for Verbal, which includes both Reading and Writing and Language sections (200-800 scale).
